2018!

We are well into the new year and wanted to post a quick update. We spent the holidays with my family in Virginia and then Katie's family in Nashville. It was a wonderful opportunity to rest and reconnect, and we are grateful to have been able to travel this year.

Katie has been without a keyboard or piano of her own since we sold her upright piano shortly after we got married, and after a little more than ten years of patience, I was able to give her a keyboard for Christmas. We have been writing new songs and filling out works-in-progress as time and equipment allow, and we are closing in on our goal of recording a worship "ep" and eventually our first full length album. It is amazing for Katie to be able to make direct musical contributions to the process instead of having to wait on me to translate what she is thinking into something on the guitar. She has already written some fantastic parts (I am being as unbiased as a loving husband can be, here :)) and I can't wait to hear what else she has up her sleeves. Mondays are our days to write and record, and prayers for focus and creativity on those days would be much appreciated!

Last week, I lead worship for an Unbound School in Myrtle Beach. Katie was out sick with the flu so she was not able to join me. I sorely missed leading alongside her, but it was a privilege to lead worship for and minister to students who were hungry to grow in their faith and relationships with God, their families, and friends. I have also been doing design work on some study materials that are being revised, along with leading worship and helping with other design and some video work in the Shiloh Place office.

As far what is on the horizon, Katie and I are believing and praying for the finances and schedules to allow us to lead worship and minister at Shiloh Place events and schools, locally and out of state, over the next several months. I will also begin production of some teaching videos that will further facilitate getting the message of the Father's Love out to the world. You can take a look at the details of the upcoming schools and events at the events page. We highly encourage you to attend a school or event and hope to see your smiling faces at one soon (You can also book a school or event in your town)

We are still praying for and seeking additional financial partners to help us do what God has called us to with Shiloh Place and to be fully funded. We humbly ask that you prayerfully consider whether this is something you would like to join us in either one time or on a regular basis. If the answer is yes or if you have any questions, you can email me at chip@shilohplace.org or visit https://shilohplace.org/donate/ and select "Chip and Katie Holt" when you get to the designation section.

As always, please continue to let us know how we can be praying for you!

We would appreciate specific prayer in the following areas:

Financial provision to be fully funded by the end of March 2018.
Funds for or provision of a fairly new, reliable car that we can drive long distances.
Funds for or provision of an editing/recording computer.
Creativity, inspiration, and energy as we continue to write, record, and minister.
Protection over our health and the health of the Shiloh Place team.
Katie's absence from work at the church due to the flu also meant a week without pay for her, so we are praying for God to restore what was lost financially due to her illness.
