Breaking Free Weekend in Travelers Rest

Katie and I had the privilege and honor to travel with Doug and Sarah to Open Door Freedom Fellowship in Travelers Rest, SC for the Breaking Free event this past weekend. We also want to say thanks to everyone who prayed for Katie's health - she was well enough to sing and lead beautifully for all three sessions! The leadership and people there were so gracious, kind, and encouraging, and we were honored and blessed to be welcomed to lead and worship with them. If you are ever in the area on a Sunday, go! As I reflect on the events of the past three days I see even more evidence of God's faithful goodness and love for me. In each of Doug and Sarah's messages, He pulled back more layers of the onion that is my life - revealing a little bit more of what I need to surrender to Him and where I need to forgive and to seek forgiveness. October Update #1

The past month-and-a-half has been quite the whirlwind of activity for us. On August 31st, we closed on our first home and are enjoying it tremendously. We were blessed to have the Shiloh Place team along with family, friends, and coworkers from Seacoast Vineyard out to pray over the house and write scripture on the walls that were going to be painted before we moved in. We are extremely grateful to Doug and Sarah Crew, Trisha Frost, Teresa Reynolds, Katie's parents and my mother for their help with painting, cleaning, and getting the house move-in ready.
